Some of the prices are ridiculously cheap! For example, I saw that jumponit had paintball for $1. I think to myself there must be some catch! Do they give you a limited number of bullets e.g. 100, and you need to buy more?

Dealies looks pretty good. On face value, seems similar to Allthedeals.com.au.

I think the whole group buying deal space is really crowded now - from what I can see there are over 15 different group buying websites. All competing for the same deals and customers.

Good luck with dealies!

Re: Thoughts on Group Buying Sites

You are so right Matt - all group buying websites DO look alike, they are more or less clones of one another. I didn'T like group buying at first, in part because of the reasons you stated about it how it can damage businesses, but I came around to it when I realized it just exposed me to new businesses, to which I was in turn pretty faithful - my gym for instance. I have begun to work for a site which groups all the deals onto one website, and not just because it is my company, I find it astronomically easier.
Caitlin
Dealies Australia

Re: Is Spotify Profitable?

that has a 2009 profit figure, I heard 2010 was a good year for Spotify. they expanded quite a fair bit in 2010 in terms of users. i haven't crunched the numbers for $1BN valuation, but that does seem high.

Re: Is Spotify Profitable?

On a related note, you see this Guardian post yesterday on Spotify being swept up in the dotcom bubble with a $1B evaluation?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/tech...

Re: Interview with Dave Cunningham, OurExplorer

Great insights Matthew.

Re: Thoughts on Group Buying Sites

IF you are looking for website similar to the one posted above or with any kind of customization, do contact me at amit.gupta@abeonacart.com

Re: Link Love – 23 November 2010

Cheers mate! I love exploring new places so I'm happy to go anywhere. I'd love better social discovery algorithms for finding new travel destinations (especially if that is based on information I already share publicly through third party services like Foursquare).

Re: Thoughts on Group Buying Sites

Hi Matt,

Although the format is similar to Yahoo Answers, the community is more like a grown up Reddit.

Re: Thoughts on Group Buying Sites

Hey Matt,

We've set up an aggregator to track all these sites and a few more!

Check it out at .. allthedeals.com.au

Would love any feedback

Re: Thoughts on Group Buying Sites

http://www.hair-ghd-straighten...

Re: Thoughts on Group Buying Sites

Check out http://crowdmass.com.au

They've been up for a while .. their design looks pretty different to the others.

Re: Thoughts on Group Buying Sites

Check out http
